Obituary

Ashley Wilson, age 41, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Flowers Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family and friends after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Ashley was born on June 26, 1985, in Pensacola, Florida to Barbara and Michael Thompson. She was a graduate of Navarre High School and dedicated the past fifteen years of her career to PrimeCare of Daleville & Dothan, where she most recently served as Lab Coordinator. Throughout her career, Ashley formed lasting friendships with her coworkers, many of whom became like family. She took tremendous pride in her work, leading with dedication, integrity, and excellence. Her determination, work ethic, and unwavering commitment inspired everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her.

Above all else, Ashley was a devoted wife and mother. She and her beloved husband, Roland, shared 17 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, love, and their family. Together they raised Hunter and Brinlee, who were the greatest joys of her life. Ashley found her happiest moments on the sidelines, cheering them on in every game, match, and event. She was their loudest cheerleader, biggest advocate, and constant source of love and encouragement. Her family was the center of her world.

In December 2024, Ashley was diagnosed with breast cancer. True to the fighter she had always been, she faced every challenge with remarkable courage, grace, and unwavering faith. Even on the hardest days, when treatment left her exhausted and weak, she never lost hope. She continued to press forward, trusting God to sustain her each step of the journey.

Ashley will be remembered for her kind heart, compassionate spirit, fierce determination, and selfless love for others. Though she could be strong-willed and stubborn at times, those who knew her best also knew her generous heart and her willingness to help anyone in need. Her legacy of faith, love, perseverance, and compassion will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 17 years, Roland Edward Wilson; her son, Hunter Allen Wilson; and her daughter, Brinlee Kate Wilson, all of Slocomb, Alabama. She is also survived by her parents, Barbara and Michael Thompson of Byron, Georgia; her sister, Brittany Thompson of Slocomb, Alabama; her mother-in-law, Linda Kay Wilson of Dothan, Alabama; and her beloved PrimeCare family, whose friendship and support meant so much to her.

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me," says the Lord. — Isaiah 54:17
