Barney Joey McCrummen, age 60, of Elba, Alabama, departed this life on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at his home in Elba. Funeral services will be held from Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Malcom Sewell officiating. Committal services will follow in Traveler's Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Joey was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose life was centered around family. He carried a quiet strength, a steady presence, and a deep love for those he held close. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when needed, Joey's loyalty and kindness left a lasting mark on everyone blessed to know him.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Lynn McCrummen of Elba, AL; daughter, Kayla McCrummen of Kinston, AL; sons, Billy (Silenia) Richardson of New Brockton, AL, Shawn McCrummen of Elba, AL, Joey McCrummen of Kinston, AL, Joseph McCrummen of Kinston, AL, Andrew Jay (Tasha) McCrummen of Kinston, AL, and Lee (Bonnie) McCrummen of Florence, AL; brother, Murry McCrummen of Kinston, AL; and twelve grandchildren, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.
