Boniface Nelson Koolor, age 56, a resident of Elba, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at his home. No formal services will be held.

Boniface was a well‑known and well‑liked member of the Elba community. Once you met him, you didn't forget him—his energy, his charisma, and the distinct cadence of his Liberian accent made him stand out in the best of ways. He approached life with enthusiasm and a warm spirit that drew people in.

He had a natural talent for landscaping and took great pride in transforming overgrown spaces into places of beauty. With vision, hard work, and the tools he carried everywhere, he shaped yards and properties across the area, leaving behind living reminders of his skill and dedication. Boniface also had a deep love for music. Whether singing or playing instruments, he found joy in creating sound and sharing it with others.

Though a native of Liberia, Boniface made Elba his home. He embraced the community, and the community embraced him. His presence, his laughter, and his unmistakable personality will be fondly remembered for years to come.

Boniface is survived by his wife, Michelle O'Brien along with numerous siblings.
