Charles Monroe Sasser 89, a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Elba Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elba, Alabama. Graveside services will be held at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, October 27, 2025 beginning at 1:30 PM with Rev. Joe Farris officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted, or those wishing to make memorials are asked to do so to the New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Mr. Sasser is survived by Son - James David (David's Phyllis) Sasser, Elba, AL, Son - Charles Bruce (Bruce's Phyllis) Sasser, Elba, AL, Brother-in-law - James (Debbie) Pike, Alexander City, AL, Sister-in-law - Dinah Kay (Daryl) Thomas, Alexander City, AL, Grandson - Christopher Alan (Sarah) Sasser, Andalusia, AL, Granddaughter - Stephanie Christina (Mark) Tucker, Tuscaloosa, AL, along with Great Grandchildren - Taylor Grace Sasser, Mobile, AL, Jamison Carter Sasser, Dothan, AL, Sawyer Rea Sasser, Dothan, AL, David William Tucker , Tuscaloosa, AL, and Amie (Dalton) Jones of Andalusia, Alabama. He also is survived by Great Great Grandchildren- Sadie Louise Jones, and Theodore Knox Jones, along with numerous Nieces and Nephews,
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Joe Sue Sasser, by parents, Bessie and Ed Sasser, brothers, Howard, Randal, and John Grady Sasser, along with sisters, Christine S. Nelson, and Shirley S. Kelley.
