George Chris Goodwin age 68, a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home. Graveside services will be held at Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens in Opp on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service. Flowers will be accepted, or those wishing to make memorials are ask to do so to the Coffee County Cowboy Church, c/o 89 County Road 431, Elba, Alabama 36323.
Mr. Goodwin is survived by daughter, Mary Ann (Tim) Beasock, Elba, AL, daughter, Jeannie (Jacob) Avant, Brundidge, AL, daughter, Katie (D.J.) Grantham, Deatsville, AL, along with grandchildren, Clayton Beasock, Elba, AL, Jacob Beasock, Elba, AL, Cole Avant, Brundidge, AL, Addie Beasock, Elba, AL, Eloise Grantham, Deatsville, AL, and Amelia Grantham also of Deatsville, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Mae Goodwin, and George Emmitt Goodwin.
