Obituary

Edward Levarl Wallace, age 80 and a lifelong resident of the Goodman Community, Coffee County, AL, passed away at his home on August 26, 2025.  Dedicated to God, his family, and his country, he lived a life rooted in faith, simplicity, and hard work.

Born December 24, 1944, Levarl spent over fifty years tending the land as a peanut and cotton farmer, a calling he honored with humility and pride.  Through seasons of drought and harvest, he always remained steadfast in his commitment to the profession he loved and was grateful for.  Even over the last few weeks in his battle against cancer, some of his greatest joy came in tending to his cows.

Whether neighbor or stranger, he treated everyone with respect and believed in fairness as a way of life.  He never sought recognition but was respected by everyone who knew him.

Levarl is survived by his Wife-June Rodgers Wallace of Enterprise; Daughter-Sherry (Buddy) Starling of Troy; Son-Terry (Holly) Wallace of Enterprise; Stepson-Todd Durga of Elba, AL; Sister-Sylvia (Jimmy) Watkins of Coffee Springs; Brother-Delone Wallace of New Brockton; and Brother-Carlton (Anita) Wallace of New Brockton.  He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of honest, hard work and love for the land.  He was preceded in death by his parents Buddy and Ora Mae Adkison Wallace.

Funeral services will be held at Goodman Baptist Church on Friday, August 29, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
