Eric Wendell Towles, age 59, of Jack, Alabama, departed this life on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.

Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 3:30 PM, with Rev. Regina Wilhelm officiating.

Eric was a beloved son, brother, and uncle whose quiet strength and steady presence were deeply felt by those who knew and loved him. He carried himself with humility and kindness, and his loyalty to family was a defining part of his life. Whether sharing a simple conversation, offering a helping hand, or showing up when it mattered most, Eric's gentle spirit left a lasting imprint on those around him.

He is survived by his father, Thomas Wendell Towles of Jack, AL; his brother, Keith Towles of Garland, TX; and his sisters, Regina Wilhelm of Chattanooga, TN, and Monica (Cliff) Roop of Canton, GA. Eric was a proud and devoted uncle to his nieces; Julia (Connor) Gunn, Hixson, TN, Eva (Austin) Benton, Calhoun, TN, Claire Roop, Houston, TX.

Each of them carries cherished memories of his encouragement, humor, and the special way he made them feel seen and supported.

Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Druette Killingsworth Towles, whose love and influence shaped his life in profound ways.

The Towles family is being served by Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama.
