Mrs. Ethelene Hodge Bedsole, age 85, departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at her daughter's home in Opp, Alabama. A woman of quiet strength and deep devotion to her family, she leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and steadfast kindness that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Vernon Assembly of God on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Donnie Earles officiating. Committal services will follow in the Mt. Vernon Assembly of God Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
Mrs. Bedsole is survived by her children Diann (Darren) Kersey of Opp, AL, Debra Samuel of Copperas Cove, TX; Jerry (Jo Ann) Bedsole of Elba, AL; Danny (Donna) Bedsole of Dothan, AL.
She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Beck of Brantley, AL; her brothers, Lloyd Hodge of Prattville, AL, and Foy Hodge of Luverne, AL; along with 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. She was preceded in death by her Husband O. C. Bedsole, Parents, William and Mary Williams Hodge, Brothers, Rayford and Fred Hodge and a Sister, Irene Hodge Norton.

Mrs. Bedsole's life was marked by her devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple, enduring values she carried with grace. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her influence will remain a guiding light for generations to come.
