Syble Eulene Powell age 93, a resident of Brantley, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Baptist Hospital South in Montgomery, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 4, 2026 beginning at 2:00 PM with her nephew, Rev. Horace Franklin, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Powell leaves behind her Daughter - Myra Compton (Howard), Brantley, AL, Son - Lawayne Powell (Peggy Stewart), Brantley, AL, Sister - Dorothy Franklin, Andalusia, AL, Sister - Faye Richards, Babbie, AL, and Sister - Phyllis Tanner of Opp, AL, along with 8 grandchildren, and numerous great and great great granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Powell, along with her parents, Armeta and Marvin Hudson.
