Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Frankie Farris, age 86, who went home to be with the Lord on July 6, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.

Born on February 17 1939] Frankie was a devoted Christian whose faith in God was the foundation of her life. She was a lifelong member of New Ebenezer and New Haven Baptist Church, where she worshipped faithfully, served with love, and touched countless lives through her kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to Christ.

Frankie was a woman of quiet strength and remarkable dedication. She worked hard throughout her life, both in and outside the home, always giving her best in all she did. Whether she was tending to her family, helping a neighbor, or offering a word of encouragement, her heart for service and her tireless spirit were evident to all who knew her.

Above all, Frankie loved her family dearly. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a proud grandmother, and a beloved friend. Her home was a place of warmth, prayer, and unconditional love—a reflection of the faith and values she held so dear.

Frankie leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and perseverance. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Savior

Mrs. Farris leaves behind to cherish her memory, Daughter - Jan (Stan) Wicker, Daughter - Denise Newman, Son- Greg (Arlene) Oglesby, Daughter- Michele Brown, Son- Jason (Marsha) Farris, along with Sisters - Syble Henderson, and Linda Newman. She also is survived by Grandchildren - Mark (Leigh) Wicker, Jesse (Jessica) Ogelsby, Morgan Oglesby, Preston Farris, Lucas Farris, and Molly Newman, along with Great Grandchildren- Dunn Wicker, Lilly Oglesby, and Sirah Shores

She was preceded in death by her husband Dawson Farris, parents, Jessie Lee and William Franklin Donaldson, along with a sister, Mary Ella Johnson, and two brothers, Buck and Mack Donaldson, son-in-law Tommy Brown, great grandson, T.J. Northey, nephew, Evan Newman, and a niece, Lynn Ellis.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Farris, Preston Farris, Lucas Farris, Mark Wicker, Jesse Oglesby, and Morgan Oglesby with honorary pallbearers being Stan Wicker, serving as honorary pallbearers being Stan Wicker, Dunn Wicker, and Bruce Donaldson.

A celebration of her life will be held on July 9 at New Haven Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to New Haven Baptist Church, in honor of Frankie's lifelong commitment to faith and service.
