Madeleine Stricklin 95 of Luverne, AL departed this life Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Luverne Health & Rehab Center in Luverne, Alabama. Funeral services will be held from Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Hatcher officiating. Committal services will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

She was born on August 6, 1928, in Blakely, Georgia. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a master quilter, which she shared with her family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Oneal Stricklin. Two sons Dennis and Dow Stricklin. Her parents Bryant and Lucille Cain. Two sisters Jeanette Whitton and Francis Jennings and one grandson Lee Dean. She is survived by her daughter Peggy and Leon Dean, Daughter-in-Law/Caregiver - Vicki Stricklin, Sister - Bettie McDonald, her two grandchildren, Amy Dean-Baumgartner, and Dow Stricklin, great grandchildren Aaron Baumgartner, Caleb Baumgartner and Joshua Dean, great great grandchildren Lyla Baumgartner, Blayke, Baumgartner, and Asher Baumgartner. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews and many beautiful memories that we can cherish.
