Margaret Louise Davis, formerly of Elba, AL, passed away peacefully on January 19th, 2025 at the age of 97. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 am with Dr. Russell Bedsole officiating. Committal services will follow at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.  Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 on the 25th (Hayes Funeral Home).

Margaret was born in Coffee County, AL on August 3rd, 1927 to parents Roy and Lela Moore.  She spent her entire life in Elba, AL community, marrying and raising her 4 children there.  She worked at Martin's Mercantile on the Elba square for many years, where she thoroughly enjoyed interacting with so many friends and acquaintances. Margaret was an amazing cook, a very skilled seamstress, and she loved to read.  She adored her family and cherished spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was the epitome of a "Southern Lady", and her passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her and more importantly, being loved by her.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter - Pamela D (Randy) Bedsole, Dothan, AL, daughter - Patsy D Miller, Enterprise, AL, son - Maxwell Davis, Dothan, AL, brother - Robert W Moore, New Brockton, AL, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Malcom Davis, her father - Roy Moore, mother - Lela Moore, daughter - Peggy D Heilman, brothers - Frank and Johnny M. Moore.
