Sarah Tonie Phillips age 79, of Elba, AL passed away peacefully Friday, September 16, 2022 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Florala on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Derek Snellgrove officiating. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Flowers will be accepted, or those wishing to make memorials can do so to a charity of their choice.
Sarah survived many unfortunate events; two house fires, and the great flood of 1990 to name a few. She resided in Florala, Samson, and Andalusia before becoming a long term resident of the Elba Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, where she was loved and cared for by many there over the years. Sarah will be missed by many.

Survivors include: Son - Jessie Miller, Elba, AL, Daughter - Delaine A. Miller, Pensacola, FL., Son - Jimmy Ray Adams, New Brockton, AL, Son - Jerry Phillips, Hartford, AL, Grandson - Chad Gainey, Panama City, FL, Granddaughter - Austi N. Michener, Albuquerque, NM, and a Great Granddaughter - Rori Sage Fabert also of Albuquerque, NM.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her Husband - Ralph Phillips, Father - Samuel Davis, Mother - Janie Lois Poston, Son - Charles Gainey, and a Grandson - Chuck Gainey.
