Terry Pruitt Hudson, age 72, a resident of New Brockton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Graceville Rehabilitation Center in Graceville, Florida. Disposition will be by means of cremation, with no formal services to be held.

Terry proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and later retired as a welder from Utility Trailers after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Whitewater Brothers and cherished the camaraderie shared among its members. Whether gathering for a black‑powder shoot, primitive camping, or reenacting frontier battles, he found joy in the reminder of a slower‑paced world and the sacrifices made by his forefathers.

His greatest joy, however, was his family. “Papa” was a title he held with deep affection, and his love for his family was evident to all who knew him. Even his four‑legged companions—Cocoa, P‑Nut, and Mocha Brown—felt his daily devotion and will miss him dearly.

Terry leaves behind his wife, Margaret Hudson of New Brockton, AL; daughter, Chandra Reaver of Dothan, AL; granddaughter, Brittni Parrish (Michael); grandson, Blake Reaver (Payton); and great‑grandchildren Oaklynn Beck, Remi Parrish, and Pandora DeJess, all of New Brockton, AL. He is also survived by his brother, Tony Hudson and a sister, Wanda Adams,

He was preceded in death by his parents, Josie and Gibson Hudson, and his sister, Gloria Patterson.
