Wayne Hamm, loving husband, devoted father, Army veteran, and accomplished stockbroker, passed away on June 19, 2025, at UAB hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was 89 years old.
Wayne was born on January 13, 1936, in Elba, Alabama to Willie Gertrude Vaughan Hamm and Lotuce Lee Hamm, Sr. and was a member of Elba United Methodist Church. He was the last remaining of seven sons and three daughters. Wayne earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Auburn University and went on to build a successful career as a stockbroker and trader in Birmingham, Alabama.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Saunders Hamm; his children Saundra Lynn Hamm, Randall Wayne Hamm (wife Randi Kathryn), and Holly Leigh Hamm; and his three grandchildren.
Wayne was known for his sharp mind, steady presence, and unending integrity. He was guided throughout his life by a deep sense of loyalty and duty to those he loved—his wife and children, as well as his siblings and in-laws and their families.

Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home in Elba, Albama on June 23, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Elba under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
