Wayne "Red" Wyrosdick 92 of Jack, Alabama passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at his home in the Snellgrove Mill Community. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 25, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Tipton and Rev. Derek Snellgrove officiating. Burial will follow in the New Home Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Wayne will be remembered as a genuine friend to many. He was always willing to help others, lend advice, and offer guidance when called upon. He worked at Dorsey Trailer's for many years as a supervisor and was always willing to stand in the gap to advocate the needs of his employees to upper management. Upon retiring from Dorsey's, he returned to his farm and enjoyed raising cows, horses, sheep, goats, and other critters. He enjoyed "horse trading" and was called upon often by friends in search a specific item, chances were, he had one. He will be missed by many.
He leaves behind Daughter - Lisa Wyrosdick Hancock, Jack, AL, Daughter - Patrice Adkinson and Son-in-law - Tommy Adkinson, Jack, AL, Grandson - Thomas Adkinson, Colorado Springs, CO, Grandson - Taylor Hancock, Dothan, AL, Grandson - Forrest Hancock, Foley, AL, along with Great Grandson - Joshua Adkinson, Colorado Springs, CO, Great Granddaughter - Annabelle Adkinson, Colorado Springs, CO, Sister - JoAnn Bess, Kinston, AL, and a Brother - Pete Wyrosdick, of Davenport, Florida, as well as a Special Friend- Wanda Gayle Key of Midland City, Alabama, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ada and Harmon Wyrosdick, along with brothers, Charles, Rudolph, Jimmy, and Rex Wyrosdick, as well as a sister, Sue Haymon.
Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Wyrosdick family.
