William Lister "Bill" Brunson Jr. 65 of Elba, AL departed this life Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama. Memorial services will be held at The Elba Theatre on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Mart Gray officiating.

The Brunson family will be receiving friends following the service at The Elba Theatre.

In a world of constant change, he was the steady hand. He guided his family, his hometown, and his business through many troubled waters and delivered all to safer shores.

His words were as measured as his thoughts and actions. He spoke so little, but when he did, you listened. Because those words were considered carefully, delivered humbly, and carried the weight of his wisdom. He was the quiet hand behind the backs of his loved ones, holding them up and guiding them forward.

He was "Pop Pop" to Claire and Fox, Daddy to Sydney and Shelby, and Uncle Bill to so many nieces and nephews. He was the axis on which his family spun.

Contributions may be made in memory of Bill to Foundation 154 for The Elba Theatre restoration at P. O. Box 373 Elba, AL 36323 or to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile 1626 Springhill Avenue Mobile, AL 36604.
