Heath Wyrosdick
Owner - Funeral Director / Embalmer
Heath is an Elba native, born to the late Kay Macon Harmon and the late Rex Wyrosdick, a grandson of the late Kate and Harvey Macon, and Ada and Harmon Wyrosdick. Heath graduated from Elba High School in 1994, and graduated cum Laude in 1998 from Jefferson State Community College with an associate degree in Funeral Service Education, and later graduated cum Laude from Troy State University-Dothan, receiving a bachelor's degree in Business Management. Heath passed his state and national board exams in 1998 and became licensed as a funeral director and embalmer.
Heath began his required apprenticeship with Hayes Funeral Home in 1994 and remains dedicated to providing caring service to the families we serve. He has helped countless families throughout his career cope with the loss of their loved ones, and has built relationships throughout the Wiregrass in which families rely on him for his guidance in celebrating the lives of those whom they hold dear. Through the careful mentoring of Charles P. Hayes III, Heath has learned the true meaning of " selfless service" throughout the years and is committed to providing the same compassionate service in which our families have grown to expect. In 2019, after nearly 60 years of continuous service, Mr. Hayes decided it was time to "semi" retire. Heath was chosen to continue the family business due to his genuine caring nature and the rapport he has established with the families we serve.
Heath is a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Enterprise, Alabama, and he is also a past President of the Elba Rotary Club, where he is still actively involved. He owns Horizon Vault & Monument Company, Inc., with locations in Elba and Opp, which allows him to provide beautiful, lasting memorials to honor loved ones throughout the southeast region.
Heath is married to his High School sweetheart, Jessica York Wyrosdick, and together they have two girls, Giuliana Rose Wyrosdick and Gia Evangeline Wyrosdick.
Heath is honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve the families in this community.
